Privacy Policy

PillPal (“we”, “the app”) helps you manage and remember your medications. We take the privacy of your health information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: your email or sign-in identifier used to sign in. We use passwordless sign-in (Sign in with Apple, Google, or a one-time email code).
• Medication data you enter: medication names, doses, schedules, intake history, refill counts, optional notes. This is stored to provide reminders and adherence tracking.
• Caregiver connections (optional): if you invite or accept a caregiver, we store that relationship to share intake status.
• Device token: if you enable caregiver notifications, a push token to deliver alerts.
• Diagnostics: anonymized crash and basic product-usage events to improve reliability. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

To deliver reminders, track adherence, enable optional family monitoring, process subscriptions, and fix crashes. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

3. Where it is stored

Data is stored securely with our backend provider (Supabase) and protected by row-level access controls so that only you — and caregivers you explicitly authorize — can read your medication data. Data is encrypted in transit.

4. Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive subscription status but not your payment details.

5. Your choices & rights

• Export: you can export your medication history at any time.
• Delete: you can delete your account in-app; this permanently removes your data.
• Notifications: you control reminder and caregiver notifications in Settings.

6. Children

PillPal is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Medical disclaimer

PillPal is a reminder and organizer. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.
